Characters

Ashitaka
-Ashitaka is the prince of the Emishi tribe, but he was forced to leave after being cursed by a giant boar. He seeks to stop the hatred in the world, and finds San in the process.

San
-Abandoned by her parents, San is raised by Moro. Growing up without much human contact, San began to despise humans like Moro, who she saw as a mother. San earned the name The Wolf Girl, from being with the wolves and attacking the humans with them. Oblivious to the fact she was human herself, San was only able to find peace after Ashitaka came. However, even when he came, she still fought for a long period of time.

Great Forest Spirit
-The forest spirit is looked up to by San and Moro, but despised by Eboshi. The Forest Spirit plays a large role in the story. At nigh it becomes the Nightwalker.

Lady Eboshi
-The leader of Iron Town, and set on killing the Forest Spirit. However, once Ashitaka comes she changes after a period of events.

Gonza
-Lady Eboshi's bodyguard. He stands as second in command for her.

Moro
-The wolf god. Moro raised San and her own two wolves. She is interested in killing Lady Eboshi more then anything else.

Yakul
-The red elk that Ashitaka rides on.

Hii Sama
-The elder that healed Ashitaka's wound, and sent him away from the village.

Jiko Bou
-A so-called monk that has dollar signs in his eyes. He works for lady Eboshi for a period of time to get what he wants.

Koroku
-An ox driver that Ashitaka saves. Ashitaka takes him back to Iron Town where he is not so kindly greeted by his wife.

Toki
-Koroku's wife, and a very bold women. She's strong, independent, and is very loyal to Lady Eboshi. She also calls Ashitaka very handsome when she first see's him without his mask.

Lord Okkoto
-A very wise 500 year old boar god. He is blind, but is a very good leader. Later on in the story Okkoto turns into a demon.

Lord Nago
-After becoming a demon from Lady Eboshi's shot, Nago comes to Ashitaka's village. Ashitaka manages to kill him, but in the process is given a curse mark on his arm.

Kodama
-Small, white, childlike spirits that live in the forest.
